A five-part mini-series inside the You Can’t Make This Up feed, the podcast expanded on the true crime story in the film of the same name.
The documentary focuses on the true story of Sharon Marshall, a young woman whose identity was concealed for over two decades by her abductor and abuser, Franklin Delano Floyd. It follows the efforts to uncover her true identity and the tragic events that led to her death in a hit-and-run accident. The podcast was produced in tandem with the film, with an embedded producer and extending interviews and tapping into voices that were cut from the film.
It was one of Netflix’s best performing podcast series in 2022.
